In the wake of a Pennsylvania grand jury report investigating widespread coverup of child sex abuse in the Roman Catholic Church, dioceses all over the country are considering establishing church sex abuse victim funds.
A fund is open for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Diocese of Fresno, Diocese of Orange, Diocese of Sacramento, Diocese of San Bernardino and Diocese of San Diego. Victims should report any past incidents of child sex abuse, as funds in California are established to compensate victims of church sexual abuse.
Because of the sensitivity of the abuse of all victims and their families, names and information will be kept in the strictest confidence.
The Fund will not use money set aside for church activities or the help the needy. It will not dip into funds for charities, seminaries, donor-designated gifts or donations to parishes, ministries or schools. The money to pay victims will come from the sale of properties and insurance compensation.
Our experience team will help you register and maximize the amount of compensation you receive.
